This video shows the testing process of artificial recharge in a town called Prince Albert, South Africa. The principle of artificial recharges is to transfer water underground via infiltration basins or boreholes when surplus water is available. The aquifers are rapidly replenished and the water is held in storage for later use.

Advantages to the situation of Prince Albert municipality are highlighted as well as the relatively simple and inexpensive technical part of artificial recharge.
