The Global Water Partnership's mission is to support the sustainable development and management of water resources at all levels. GWP is an official Collaborating Partner of the World Water Week in Stockholm this year as 2013 is the International Year of Water Cooperation (IYWC). The aim of the Year is to raise awareness on the potential for increased cooperation between government, civil society and the private sector to solve water challenges.

Creating partnerships around water resources management is the foundation of the GWP network. This video outlines those challenges and GWP's approach in addressing them. An integrated approach to managing the world's water resources -- for economic growth, social equity, and ecosystem sustainability -- is key to achieving a water secure world.
