Green reactor for acid mine drainage

Vast quantities of acid mine drainage are generated in South Africa. This affects the water quality of the country’s rivers and dams.
The CSIR has done various studies into acid mine drainage and can now demonstrate the biological process to clean up mine water using micro-organisms powered by grass cellulose.
