Description

The majority of urban growth is expected to take place in the developing world. The situation is particularly serious in the developing world, but impact both wealthy and poor. This comes with numerous challenges for provision of wastewater infrastructure and may have severe consequences if action is not taken now. At the same time, urban areas present the biggest opportunity for introduction of sustainable approaches to managing resources. Despite this, politicians and policy makers, both at global and local level, give low priority to the provision of sustainable wastewater management.
