This video showcases the activities of Indian NGO Turaun Bharat Sangh, whose founder Rajendra Singh has been awarded the 2015 Stockholm Water Prize. It all started when Singh dropped anchor in a small village in India's arid Rajasthan state more than 20 years ago, and worked with the villagers to revive their extinct aquifers using recharge ponds called 'Johads.' Improvement in groundwater availability laid the foundation for all-roound development of the village, and several others that followed suit.
