SWAR is a measured irrigation system that applies precise amounts of water at the root zone of plants. Unlike above-ground drip irrigation systems, it goes deep into the rootzone, applying precise amounts of moisture and fostering the growth of micro-organisms which help boost plant growth. Often the system includes application of microbial inoculants-- microbe-rich organic material-- that help kickstart microbial growth.
