Description

The community in Kharabat, Bani Matar (sana'a) in Yemen has taken extraordinary measures to protect its springs. Among other steps, it has set up a water-users' association with ever expanding ownership. The association covers all the wells in the area.

The video is the third in a series called 'Building on Practice,' documenting case studies in local water management from Yemen. Other videos in the series (and English versions of all) will be coming soon on TheWaterChannel.
