Webinar: Tree-based sustainable farming in rainfed areas
In India, farmers are in despair. Livelihoods are threatened by low income and low productivity of agriculture (watch the video: Farmers being pushed out of agriculture in India). Why are mono-cultures failing small and medium farmers in India?
Dr. G.N.S. Reddy proposes a system for tree-based sustainable farming. He states that mixed farming is essential. The trees can provide insurance against crop failure, biomass and more. In addition a variety of horticulture and grains are grown and livestock can be reared.
In a webinar organized by TheWaterChannel on June 18, Wednesday (Tree-based sustainable farming in rainfed areas), Dr. G.N.S. Reddy will discuss his integrated, low external input farming model, drawing on experiences from the field.
The webinar will begin at 10.30 AM GMT (Click here to check your local timing). It is free to attend and open to all.
