"Where does your drinking water come from? Where does it go?"
It is a bit clichéd to point a camera at urban dwellers going about with their daily lives, ask them such simple questions and laugh at their bewildered answers. Nevertheless, such exercises never fail to amuse!
More importantly, they highlight the disconnect between people and their water systems in cities, our centres of growth and innovation. ‘Faecal Attraction…’ a compilation of vox-pops produced by CSE New Delhi, does that brilliantly.
A recent contest by International Water Week Amsterdam challenged young water professionals to ‘trace the journey of their drinking water drop’ on video. The winning entry, a stop-motion video, sums up its story cleverly and concisely. Click here for more information and more videos from the contest.
