The government of Sindh Province has installed more than 350 scavenger tubewells.
The main objective of this implementation is providing drainage and to recover shallow fresh groundwater for irrigation supplements.

Due to the energy crises in Pakistan, unfortunately scavenger tube wells are out of operation. But some of the farmers took an initiative to manage scavenger tubewells in their areas.

Thanks to the scavenger tubewell farmers are practicing conjunctive water use. Thanks to the conjunctive water use farmers solved water scarcity during water shortage in the area.
