With a clever road water harvesting system he ensures that the grasses always have enough moisture to grow, which he intercrops with mango trees. The demand for his hay is very high, people know where to find him. He shares main tips and tricks on grass cultivation from his long experience.
This video is part of a series on pasture production in the drylandsof Kitui, Kenya, showcases 6 select farmers. They share their lessons and experiences on various aspects: one specializes in milk production, another sells hay, while yet another does seed production and livestock fattening simultaneously. They are all pioneers, venturing into active cultivation of grass.
