Brackish water purified with nanotechnology

CSIR researchers, in collaboration with North-West University, are working to treat brackish groundwater using nanofiltration membranes.
The two organisations and a local industry partner, Malutsa, are forming a joint venture with a Greek consortium called Nanopure, and plan to develop various nanotechnology methods for the treatment of water. The project is funded by the European Union.
