In this cartoon video, a professor explains the water management system of the Ziway Abyata basin in Ethiopia to a student. The student learns about basic principles of the water balance to get a better understanding of the current situation of the basin. One of the main lessons explained is the relationship between evaporation and the different types of land use – environmental and man-related. Several options for developing water management are discussed towards the end.
