What is resilience? Most simply put, it is the ability to withstand sudden shocks and persistent stress. This ability of a community is formed not just of assets and wealth, but also of the community’s norms and values and whether ‘development’ intervnetions are in conflict or consoance with them.
Frank van Steenbergen (MetaMeta), human rights activist Letty Ferjado, and Rajeshwar Mishra (Centre for the Development of Human Inititaives) discuss what makes communities resillient and how that resilience can be built upon.
