Dalit food systems

The dryland of the Deccan Plateau in India support wide variate of agricultural crops including sorghum, a range of millets, pulses and oilseeds, all of which grow under rainfed conditions. This rich cultivated biodiversity enables small farmers to deal with the dynamic complexity of their drought prone environments.
