This video demonstrates irrigation technology not only as an agricultural tool, but also as a driver of multiple aspects of rural well-being. For farming communities near Kitui, Kenya, installation of family drip systems helped them (1) save water, (2) save time and energy, (3) increase productivity and incomes, (4) create new jobs, and (5) improve public health. Achieving this, however, required that the implementing agencies (Netafim/ Agrosphere) invest in capacity building and ensure that the technology was integrated holistically within the target community.
