IGUNGA – ROPE PUMPS

The Igunga Eco-Village project is part of the Global Climate Change Alliance Tanzania, funded by the European Union.
The Igunga project has introduced simple rope pumps to access clean and safe drinking water from hand dug wells.
Communities in the Tabora region (northwest Tanzania) are suffering from unpredictable rainfall and are striving to maintain the well at all costs, protecting it from livestock and keeping it in good working order.
