Improving Canal Irrigation in Sindh/ Punjab, Pakistan

This video highlights the “Improving Water Governance and Promoting Water Co-operation” project implemented across three districts in Pakistan. The initiative focuses on strengthening collaboration among stakeholders and improving equitable water distribution, particularly for smallholder farmers located at the tail end of canal systems.

The project has two key objectives: first, to mobilize, organize, and train grassroots farmers to enhance their capacity in water management; and second, to act as a catalyst for shaping and improving provincial irrigation policies. By linking local action with policy-level change, the initiative aims to promote sustainable and inclusive water governance.
