Mr. Alem Gebrewahid, Member of the executive committee of the ruling party EPRDF (Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front) and Head of the Bureau of Water Resources of the Tigray National Regional State and Dr. Eyasu Yazew Hagos, Director of the Institute of Water and Environment, Mekelle University (MU) and alumnus of UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education discuss how Ethiopia can develop itself from a low to a middle and high income country. They emphasize the role of water and land use in this development plan and how this can be integrated in policymaking and education.
