Scaling Up poverty reduction in China

This film examines how China succeeded in raising hundreds of millions of people out of poverty since reforming its economy in 1978 and how the lessons learned are helping the poor community throughout China. Experiences from three case studies on “The Southwest Poverty Reduction Project”, “Growth and Transition in Wenzhou and Suzhou” and “The Loess Plateau project” were introduced. This film is a part of a series of documentaries for the Shanghai Global Learning Process on Scaling Up Poverty Reduction.
