We visit Makueni to reach farmers to discuss, flying gardens, mango farming, cow farming, rainwater harvesting & planting trees. For the water harvesting, a new tank is introduced. By digging a deeper trench and sealing it with concrete, more water can be collected. Also, a new inventive way for planting vegetables, which uses little water, is introduced.
Shamba Shape Up is the third “edu-tainment” production created by Mediae, and the first of its kind in Kenya, and now crossing borders. Aimed at East Africa’s rapidly growing rural audience, the makeover-style TV show aims to give both farmers and the audience the tools they need to improve productivity and income on their farms.
