Urban Permaculture: The Micro Space by Geoff Lawton

Nothing beats the productive capacity of the small
Urban Permaculture backyard.

It’s more productive per square foot than
conventional agriculture. It’s into theses small spaces, that the most changes are being made.

In the video, Angelo, one of Geoff´s students, took these Permaculture ideas and changed the way he now grows food. He has transformed his tiny 650 square foot garden into a Permaculture wonderland full of diversity and abundance. He’s harvested over 70 kilos of vegetables in 5 months!

The video also looks at mini swales. People are installing them into their gardens. Should you?

Geoff Lawton is a permaculture consultant, designer and teacher from Australia.
Since 1985, Lawton has undertaken a large number of jobs consulting, designing, teaching and implementing in over thirty countries around the world. Lawton’s aim is to establish self-replicating educational demonstration sites. He has currently educated over 6,000 students in permaculture worldwide. Lawton’s plan is to see aid projects being replicated as fast as possible to help ameliorate the growing food and water crisis.
