Water scarcity and extreme temperatures pose a constant problem in Burkina Faso. Increasing population growth and rural to urban migration are leading to an increased need for water – for everyday needs, hygiene, farming and industry. The Ziga dam reservoir to the north-east of the capital Ouagadougou is one of the largest water supply projects in Burkina Faso. The film shows how the water reaches the city and provides information about German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development projects in the field of water and sanitation.
