Groundwater in the Political Domain

Qalqiliya in the West Bank is known for being surrounded by the separation wall built by Israel. Apart from restricting the movement of the Qalqiliyan people, the wall barricades them from their water sources. Additionally, the Israeli state employs its might to restrict them from developing the water resources that Qalqiliyans have access to. This video captures efforts of the Palestinian authorities to manage the situation and provide water to Palestinian citizens, as seen through the lens of a research project analysing the specific ways in which politics fuels/mitigates conflict over natural resources.
