Is Desalination the Answer to the Water Shortage?

This story explores whether seawater desalination – which Israeli heavily invests in – is a sustainable solution to the water shortage in the Middle East regardless of the environmental damages. Desalination water provides over the 40% of the Israel water supply what it means lots of energy use. Three desalination plants has been launched on the israeli short costline since 2005 a few more are being built.
