(Nov 4, 2021) Resilient Policies: Leveraging Water for National Climate Planning

Providing a strong national political signal means strengthening the role of water in strategic decision making at the local level relevant for implementing Disaster Risk Reduction, adaptation and sustainable development. It is important that these plans and policies reflect the fundamental elements that need to be in place to ensure resilient water policies, addressing climate change in the country’s development policy frameworks. This session identified the building blocks of a strategy for resilient water policies. It identified the benefits and challenges of some tools and methods to mainstream water resilience. It suggested some good actions forward for the international community to support the national level. The Water Adaptation Community will bring forward the actions coming from this webinar.
