Recharge well to infiltrate stormwater

Recharge wells, called leaky wells in Australia, are a good device to pick up and infiltrate stormwater from drains. They reduce flooding, increase groundwater level, and are a good way to manage rainwater in cities. Here is one way of making a recharge well. In Bangalore, it can recharge at the rate of 4000 litres an hour, handling the highest intensity of rain that can occur safely.
