Recharge well to infiltrate stormwater

Recharge wells called leaky wells in Australia , are a good device to pick up and infiltrate storm water from drains. They reduce flooding, increase groundwater level and are a good way to manage rainwater in cities. Here is one way of making a recharge well. In Bangalore it can recharge at the rate of 4000 litres an hour handling the highest intensity of rain that can occur safely.
