Large flood discharges flow through Dera Ismail Khan district in Pakistan, and yet many communities suffer from lack of water to irrigate and drink. At the same time, the ancient irrigation system of ‘Rudh Kohi’ still practiced in the region helps parts of the district irrigate their fields and recharge water sources. This video documents how the system works, and an initiative that is working towards supporting and promoting Rudh Kohi in the region to help it attain higher water security.
