This video shows how a magnet can be used to treat saline water, so that the water can still be used for farming. The demonstration is based in Bawapur, Pakistan, but the technique has been developed in Russia and Australia, not widely used yet- even though it can ensure the uptake of saline water up to 2000 ppm – provided the water is used shortly after the treatment.
