In this video, we explore our collaborative project to monitor water quality around olive oil extraction sites. Project partners recently gathered in Marrakesh, Morocco, where IGB experts guided us during a field visit, demonstrating the methods and locations for data collection. Using both natural ecosystems and controlled pilot systems, we’re assessing the environmental impacts of Olive Mill Wastewater (OMWW) discharge under various scenarios.
