Soil Management
This dossier documents state-of-the-art know-hows, practices and science from different world regions on how to nurture, manage and work with our precious soils.
Effective soil management is essential to maintain its health and productivity. It prevents erosion, maintains fertility, and supports sustainable agriculture. By managing soil properly, we can ensure food security, protect biodiversity, and combat climate change.
However, due to deforestation, land use and climate change, a big part of soil is already degraded. Since soil processes are slow, it takes many years of consistent work for soil to be restored. Having the right data and tools is crucial for soil sustainable management and a resilient environment.
