Green Transformation

The Green Tansformation Pathways (GTP) program seeks to address the looming phenomenon of uncertainties in agriculture, degradation of ecology, low returns, and increasing rural distres– all compounded by climate changes– and propose solutions based in regenerative agricultural practices.

The key idea is to adopt a systems change approach to systematically analyse barriers and opportunities present in the model and field implementation of sustainable solutions to ensure a good quality of life. GTP’s objectives are to create a vibrant rural economy based on (a) sustainable management of  natural resources, (b) rewarding regenerative agriculture that adds to the quality of life, (c) a local economy based on an extensive exchange of valuable products and services, and (d) strong institutions and value chains, all in a feminised context. The long-term vision of the program is to bring a new functional and aspirational approach to rural development in India over the next five to ten years, in particular to marginalized areas, as common in Agro-Ecological Zone 7.
