Nature-based solutions for disaster and climate resilience

Implementation of Nature-Based Solutions for hydro-meteorological risk reduction and building climate-resilient landscapes offers the possibility to break away from traditional practices and enable reconnecting our land management practices and developments with nature in order to achieve multiple benefits to services and functions of ecosystems. However, the cost-effective design and implementation of NBS is only part of the answer. Of equal importance is the ability to effectively place them in diverse local and cultural contexts and integrate them into broader land and risk management strategies.

In this webinar (held October 8, 2021), IHE Delft Associate Professor Zoran Vojinovic discusses this in detail
