(October 7, 2021): Accelerating adaptation through nature-based solutions

Co-organized by the Global Center on Adaptation and WWF, this webinar addressed the need for greater effort to identify a pipeline of large-scale NbS projects that truly accelerate adaptation, and at the same time build the resilience of communities. It was moderated by Ede Jorge Ijjasz-Vasquez, Senior Advisor to the GCA, and Former Regional Director, Africa, Sustainable Development Practice Group, World Bank. The webinar explored cases from Africa (Dr. Bregje van Wesenbeeck, Deltares), Pakistan (Dr. Masood Arshad, WWF Pakistan), and Mekong Delta (Karel Heijnert, Royal Haskoning DHV). Discussing how to finance NbS was Anirudh Rajashekar, Pegasys. The webinar also included a panel discussion which was joined by Dada Bacudo from the ASEAN Climate Resilience Network.
