News fragment from 1964. In the Sahara Desert in the South of Egypt, engineers that were drilling for oil have discovered water. An inexhaustible supply seems to be hidden deep under the burning sand. There are hopes that the desert may once more turn into rich land again. Examples are being given from agricultural activities that are now again possible due to this discovery.
