Farmers in India have been in crisis for decades now. Thousands have committed suicide over the years for a variety of reasons- lack of profits, lack of inputs, falling productivity of land…. among others. Underpinning this variety of reasons is a structural push from villages to cities that farmers are experiencing, exerted by a multitude of forces.
