Urine can be a huge urban pollutant if unmanaged and can end up as nitrate contaminant for surface water and groundwater. If segregated at source and collected separately they can be used productively for their nutrient content and as a bio-innoculant. Research work is on in the University of Agriculture Sciences Bangalore.
