The UAE plans to drag icebergs from Antarctica to its shores to use for drinking water. The plan is expected to help solve the drinking water shortage set to last for the next 25 years. The Iceberg is also expected to change the micro climate of the area, easing the existing drought. In addition to solving the water shortage in the area, the iceberg is also expected to become a tourist attraction for the area. The project is set to start early 2018.
