Floods destroy Yemen- It’s time to act now

The Old City of Sana’a, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, is currently facing a serious and largely overlooked crisis. Recent heavy rainfall has caused significant damage to its historic infrastructure, leading to the collapse of centuries-old buildings and putting both residents and invaluable cultural heritage at risk. Located in Sana’a, this UNESCO World Heritage site has stood for over 2,500 years, symbolizing remarkable architectural and historical significance.

Despite its global importance, the situation has received very limited international attention. The combined effects of prolonged conflict, environmental challenges, and insufficient preservation efforts have made the city increasingly vulnerable. This video aims to raise awareness and call for urgent global action to help protect this irreplaceable heritage in Yemen before further irreversible damage occurs.
